Sometimes the only thing that a band need is a fire, a heat source where the melodies and rhythms are born more or less regularly. Songs. Party. Situations. Call it whatever you want, but is is actually just a fire, a light. Nueva Vulcano are like a fucking heat machine, and they have been doing it for more than 10 years, making everyone take of their jackets whilst they play on stage. At the beginning -I guess you will remember- they played with flamethrowers and fireproof suits but as the years came b, they have learnt to dose the dynamo’s power so they will last longer. The heat has lasted, : four LPs, a book, a 10″, more than 350 shows and hugs, many hugs and kisses, many kisses. We do not know exactly hoe many lightbulbs have been screwed and forth but we bet, a lot.
One of the reason why Nueva Vulcano are friendly-fire is their love for spending money by publishing seven inches singles. The new one untitled “Nombres y apellidos”, and it is a part of the Bcore single Club, recorded by Santi García at Sant Pere Yolanda and at Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The A-side is dedicated to mi friend Mike and includes a drum set stolen from Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, whilst the B-sidein an homage to one fo those political men “from our side”. They both start well and end better. “El despertador” has many alleys and rises more and more. “Mike Woodward” is more direct, it will be amazing, for sure. When they end their performance, you just stand up and kiss your wife. We want more !
